Familiar Hearth Bakery is a branding concept that I came up with to kickstart the ultimate dream of opening my own bakery one day. The beginning of this brand was creating a package design that was one piece, easy to assemble, and can hold a single cupcake while being tilted at a 90 degree angle. I plan on building more package designs to hold 6 cupcakes, 12 cupcakes, and pies or cakes.
Bikecycle is a fun campaign project created to get the residents of Ruston involved with-you guessed it-cycling! The process step of research was the emphasis of the project so there was a better understanding on what was being created.
This project consisted of web design, simple app interface design, environmental pieces, and so much more! I worked with an awesome team of three other graphic designers to make this project awesome.
The Blue Crew, also know as the Loyal Blue Nation, is the official student section of Louisiana Tech Athletics. The logo I designed is the hand gesture that all the students of LA Tech pose at sporting events. The familiarity of something that bonds the students together is what I find most important about the logo. The colors are blue and white to pop with the red seats of all the stadiums around campus.
The beer label shown was the scratch of the surface for vinyl application and the basics of branding in my college career. We learned the guidelines of designing a package for a product and all that it entails.
The Encamp app allows users to create profiles to keep in contact with friends with the same interest: camping at national parks. The users have access to book tours, cabins, and acitivites as well as an acitivty feed of posts from friends.
The color palette has a natural feel of browns and the simplicity of the design makes it user friendly. There are over 200 screens made but the main ones shown are the friend profile, activity feed, and a park home page.
Delta Delta Delta values the bonds of friendship and becoming a better woman. The theme for the retreat was camping which is a recreational activity to establish perpetual bonds of friendship and teamwork.
Screenprinting, being a tedious and frustrating process, is rewarding for artists in the long run. It is a skill that I have acquired that also taught me patience and the importance of craftsmanship.
The two screenprint products shown are a notebook pad that I made from scratch and the poster is a 2nd place winner design for the 2017 Peach Festival in Ruston, Louisiana.
Union Board Publicity
For two years I was the graphic designer and publicity/social media manager of Louisiana Tech Union Board, an entertainment organization. The main chunk of my job was to design advertisements that were to be posted all over Louisiana Tech's campus to advertise the different events going on that we hosted.
A part of the orientation period for new members consisted of posting advertisements around campus and taking selfies to evidence of posting.
Pokemon GO! Badges
During the craze of the release of Pokemon Go I decided to jump the gun and create something to represent the three teams: Team Valor, Team Mystic, and Team Instinct. These badges were distributed throughout the country to the appropriate team members.
They are acrylic laser etched badges with pins glued to the back to wear on clothing, hats, and backpacks.
The design of a website is important because it affects how quickly visitors can find what they are looking for. If it is difficult or frustrating, the visitor will leave and try on another site – and that is a lost opportunity. A good design will be easy to understand and navigate, helping potential customers find what they need and taking you one step closer to making a sale or getting in touch.
Album design is something that is helpful to dabble in as far as illustrating a different size medium. I anticipate all angles of a vinyl record sleeve, including the center sticker on the vinyl itself.
